These photographs are glimpses of a long-awaited journey to Tanzania, and to the luminous island of Lamu. I had dreamed of it for years, and when I finally arrived, it felt like meeting a place I had always known.

The light was golden and alive, the colors bold and true, dancing freely across sea, sand, and skin. There was beauty everywhere in the rhythm of the days, in the breeze that carries stories, in the smiles of people whose kindness felt effortless.

Lamu didn’t just live up to the dream it expanded it.
